9/11 and the war on iraq




one of the things that effected my life the most would have to be 9/11. on September 11th 2001 terrorists flew planes into the twin towers and the pentagon. this attack killed more than 3,000 people and injured many. i remember sitting in school in first grade when we all learned what had happened.
when we were that age we didn't really know how to react to something that intense. this event impacted a lot of people that i know. this was a shock to all of us and led to the war in iraq that has been happening for the past ten years. most people know someone in the war or effected by the war in some way. this was a rough period of time for us all and this recent event of the death of osama bin ladin is a relief to us all.
i know many people that have been fighting in the war in iraq for the past few years. also my uncle just retired from being a carnal in the air force and a sociologist for the air force so i know many stories from what he had experienced from the war.
when bin ladin died the other day it felt weird how he was in my life for such a long time with 9/11 and the war. its a relief that he’s gone but makes me wonder what will happen next.
